It is all about expressing yourself. Hair color, cloths, tattoos, jewelry, everything we wear or modify on our bodies is a means of telling the world who we are (or who we are at that moment). It may or may not make sense to those that see us but as long as the individual is comfortable then others shouldn't offer judgment.

I claim no social type, I just am. That being said I have more respect for someone who dresses as they see fit then I do for someone who buys something because it is the 'in' thing at the moment.

Because pink is the antithesis of black,black makes goths happy, and happiness has no place in a goths heart, so occasionally they need to royally piss themselves off by dying their hair pink, donning Abercrombie clothes and dancing around their rooms to Hannah Montana- "Ahh, this is great, Im really pissed off now, thank goodness Azrael and Crowe cant see me, now its time to change my clothes and go to the cemetary... what?! They can dye their hair any color they want. Just because pink is thought of as a preppy color doesn't mean it has to be used by a prep. Besides, pink can look pretty kick *** when it's used with black!

I am also a goth. Well, I'm more emo, but that's besides the point....pink against black is a very different (but cool) combo, and pink (especially bubblegum pink) is a huge shock when you consider the general stereotype of a goth. You'd have to ask the dyee, though, because their answers and reasons could vary.

ok. first off, chances are anyone who labels themselves "goth" is a poser and just wants to fit in. which is retarded. and maybe they dye there hair pink because they like pink. i dyed my hair red and blonde when its naturally brown because i liked those colors.
