So Yeah. . .Manic Panic, Stargazer, Stellar, Punk Colors. . .I've Done All That And They Stain Everything And Aren't All Permanent. I Want ALL Permanent. But I Can't Find It Anywhere.

You can increase the longevity of a semi-permanent haircolor by pre-bleaching the sections you want to be pink. Then, when the color is processing on your hair, put on a shower cap and blowdry.

Basically, the chemical difference between permanent color and semi-permanent color is that permanent color penetrates the hair's cuticle, while semi-permanent color just coats the hair shaft.

By bleaching your hair, you are opening up the cuticle layer of the hair. By processing the pink color under heat, you are driving the color molecules into your hair. (Make sure you wear a shower cap, though, otherwise the color will dry out)

Also, keep in mind that if you pre-bleach until your hair is orange/yellow, you'll need a slightly more mauve/purpleish shade of pink.

Go to the salon, and ask the colorist what you can use. Some dyes need to be mixed in order to get the color you want. Good luck!

I agree. Just use the semi-permanent one, it's less damaging to your hair and you can just re-dye it when it's gone

I've never found any. I don't think it exists. I've always just gone back to manic panic stuff.

You can use alcohol to remove it from most things before is stains, and try to wash your hair less to preserve the colors, but I don't think there's anything better out there.
