I used to think about dying my hair red but now, I think pink looks neat. Can anyone tell me the con

It depends on your age, your parents reaction if you are still living with them, school regulations if you still go, your job requirements if you work, and where else official you may need to go while your hair is that color. If your parents don't mind, you don't have a job where they will have a problem with it, and you don't have somewhere else you will have to show up looking totally respectable and mundane I don't know why there would be any problems. I can't say more without anything specific to base it on, but if you are in a position in your life where you can afford it and it won't cause major problems I think it is good to experiment a little bit.

Also if there is someplace official you have to go just one time, like a wedding, there are temporary things you could do to cover up or minimize the color so it won't be a problem. Its just that most of those things would be a hassle to have to do daily.

Pink as in hot pink? Either way, you will definitely get stared at. Is your hair naturally brown? If so, you will have to bleach it first. This kind of sucks because when the pink starts to fade, you hair will look really odd. If it's blonde, then you're good to go.

Also, the thing with pink is that since it is an odd colour, it'll fade quicker then the red. Since not many good brands sell pink, the ones that you are left with are okay. Seeing as red is quite common, it'll last a longer time. Much longer actually.

Personally, red would look much, much, MUCH nicer then pink! =)

I have a couple Friends who use pink and does fade much quicker than any other color. Usually about 3 weeks and it's going on light pink.

You can see actual hair dye results here: http://www.beeunique.co.uk/top15page1.ht...

Theres also lots of advice on bleaching or dyeing your hair in the following section: http://www.beeunique.co.uk/Hair-Main.htm

If you are getting hair done professionally make sure the hairdresser has a good brand of hair dye as some of them last only a few washes and are not as vibrant as others. Also if you take in your own hair dye the most vibrant ones seem to be veggie dyes and these, unlike most boxed dyes, dont work well on hair that has conditioner on it - make sure the hairdresser knows this as a couple of our customers have had hairdressers put conditioner on first and then dye almost slides off and does not take to hair at all.

Cheers, Nickki
